
Kadhi Rice with Gobi (Cauliflower) Sabazi Recipe
Serving – 2 persons
Ingredients:
1. Cauliflower Sabazi
- 250g of cauliflower, rinsed and cut into florets
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp of Zilli's Ginger Powder
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tsp of mustard oil
- 1 pinch of asafoetida (hing)
- 1 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1/2 of coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp of garam masala
2 Kadhi
- 250g of curd
- 4 tsp of besan
- 1-2 dry red chilies
- 2-3 dry bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp of Zilli's Ginger Powder
- 1/4 tsp of Zilli's Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp of mustard oil
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
- 3 cups of water
Methods:
1. Cauliflower Sabazi
- Take the pan, add mustard oil and let it heat for 20-30 seconds.
- Add asafoetida, cumin seeds and let it splutter for the aroma to release.
- Add cauliflower. Cook it for 5 mins on medium flame.
- Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix it well. Cover the pan with lid and cook it. Stir it from time to time so that it gets cooked evenly and does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
- Once the cauliflower is cooked then remove the lid. Add coriander powder and ginger powder and let the masalas get roasted for 4-5 mins on low to medium flame.
- Add garam masala and ginger powder. Mix it well. Cook it for another 2 mins.
- Gobi sabazi is ready to be served.
- Take a bowl and sieve, make a curd besan mix, put curd, besan and water to sieve. Sieve it together.
- Take the pan, add mustard oil and let it heat for 20-30 seconds.
- Add cumin seeds, red chilies and bay leaves and let it splutter for the aroma to release.
- Add turmeric powder and curd besan mix.
- Add garlic and ginger powder together and mix it well.
- Keep stirring till it boils. It will take 5-7 mins to boil it.
- Kadhi is ready to serve with rice and gobi sabazi.
