Hara Bhara kebab

Serving – 2 persons (10 kebabs)

Time Required - 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams spinach
  • 2 cup water
  • salt as per taste
  • 3/4 cup peas
  • 4 tsp besan
  • 5 boiled potatoes
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp amchur (dry mango) powder
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Zilli's Ginger Powder
  • 1 tsp of Zilli's Green Chilli Powder
Method:
    • Heat water in a bowl.
    • Add salt, and spinach leaves.
    • Make sure spinach is soaked well.
    • Blanch till the water comes to boil.
    • Turn off the flame and remove blanched spinach.
    • Keep the left over water.
    • Add peas to this water.
    • Blanch peas for 2-3 minutes and strain.
    • Heat a pan and add besan.
    • Dry roast besan on medium to low flame till it turns light brown and raw aroma is gone.
    • Transfer to a plate, keep aside.
    • Coarse grind spinach and peas in a grinder.
    • Take boiled potatoes in a bowl. Add paste to it.
    • Add dry roasted besan, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, amchur powder, black salt, ginger powder and green chilli powder.
    • Use potato masher to mash the mixture.
    • Make sure there are no potato pieces.
    • We like to use our hands to mix well ! 
    • Mixture is ready. Make Kabab balls.
    • Take a tawa, add ghee or any cooking oil.
    • Grease the tawa well.
    • Place kababs on the tawa.
    • Let them roast on medium to high flame.
    • Flip to roast the other side.
    • Add some more ghee to roast properly.
    • Kababs are ready to be served.
